House of Darkness (2016) Lifetime horror
This film is called "House of Darkness" and it was made in 2016 by Lifetime, a TV movie of horror genre. It was directed by Patrick DeLuca, and stars Kate Stone, Ian McNeill and Jake T. Getman. This title must not be confused with "House of Darkness, House of Light: The True Story" series of books.
The film "House of Darkness" is meant to be based on true events, but there's no matching information about a family moving to a haunted house in San Francisco where trick-or-treating kids disappeared in 1957. There are strange stories of families being frightened away from their haunted houses, which is in the case of the Perron family who lived in Rhode Island. Their story was made into a film called "The Conjuring". Also the infamous haunted house called Amityville was made into a film.
Many of these haunted house horror movies come from reports investigated by Ed and Lorraine Warren. To read more about them go and visit the link below.
A lot of things about "House of Darkness" doesn't make a lot of sense but there are many similarities with scenes from other movies. Parts of it was like "The Shining" and "Poltergeist". The neighbours are a bit off, and this may be because they're not real. The true horror is either the spooky events or the dad spiralling into madness. To me this film is sugary and annoying.

Score out of 10. I give it 2/10.

Creepy spider forest
This is my brief review of a game called Creepy Spider Forest. It's made by Wow Games. The object of the game is to escape from a forest filled with huge spiders that you're lost inside. There are clues and items to collect, with some puzzles that need to be solved. Try not to look too long at the big spiders. It's quite icky. The atmosphere of the dark forest is good and well made. The music is in theme with Halloween style. I rate this game a 2/5.
Anything else? Yes the giant spider mother.

Wyrd Sisters
Wyrd Sisters is a 1997 animated series by Cosgrove Hall and it's based on the Discworld book of the same name by Terry Pratchett.
A king is murdered by his cousin, and a maid servant smuggles the baby prince out of the castle. Three local witches find the baby prince and a royal crown, and they decide to leave the baby and crown with a travelling theatre group. Meanwhile the ghost of the dead king remains in the castle unseen, while his mad cousin burns villages. Nature and wild animals communicate to the witches and plea for their help. There is time travelling and magic. The imposing Grim Reaper type Death character is voiced by the late Christopher Lee.
The entire series was put together and sometimes the plot felt confused. I struggled to watch it and was quite perplexed by the ending. Where did that come from?
I rate this a 4/10.
Spoiler: Duke Felmet incarnated as Petyr Baelish.

Halloween snack: Casu Marzu
Any bad dreams could be related to eating cheese before bedtime. But there are cheeses that are so unpleasant that you wouldn't want to devour any of it. Mouldy cheese is one. Have you ever heard of anything more gross than that? Well there is actually a cheese more rotten than this. It's called Casu Marzu. It's an Italian cheese filled with wriggling maggots! This cheese is so awful and unhealthy that it's been banned. It's the kind of cheese one would expect during a real Halloween party.

The Black Cauldron
This is a dark fantasy animation by Disney made in 1985 and it was directed by Richard Rich and Ted Berman. The voices are by Susan Sheridan, Grant Bardsley, John Hurt, Freddie Jones and many others.
Many have condemned this movie as "too scary" for Disney. Personally, I think The Black Cauldron is the best Disney animation film that I've seen and yes it's got creepy things but this adds to the film. The Black Cauldron is up there with other great animated high fantasies such as "Spirited Away," "Wyrd Sisters", "Dungeons and Dragons" and "Tales from Earthsea."
Taran works as a pig keeper's helper and discovers that a piglet on the farm is magical. The evil Horned King rules the land of Prydain and becomes aware of the magical pig, so Taran must leave with the pig and go into hiding, except that doesn't work out. He encounters new friends, three witches, a magical sword and tons more.
I give this a 9/10 because it was very delightful and a brilliant story.
Fun fact: The film was loosely based on a novel called "The Black Cauldron" by Lloyd Alexander, set in Prydain and follows the adventures of Taran.
