Lisa and the Devil
A 1974 horror film called Lisa and the Devil. Starring Telly Savalas, Elke Sommer, Alida Valli and Sylva Koskina. Directed by the late Mario Bava, the father of Lamberto Bava the horror movies director and grandfather of director Fabrizio Bava. A family of film directors that have all made scary horrors is just awesome.
This film that I'm reviewing here is Lisa and the Devil. It's very surreal and beautiful. It's more of an artistic film that is confusing in places.
The last thing you do when you're visiting another country is to leave the tour group. This is exactly what Lisa did, the main heroine of the film. She's a damsel in distress who keeps running into a strange man who resembles the devil on an old wall painting. The streets have become empty and Lisa becomes afraid of a man with a pocket watch, who has a fatal accident. Lisa is unable to find any help, and it becomes night, and she resorts to hitchhiking in an antique car with three strangers. The car breaks down and they end up going to a large isolated house nearby, where Lisa meets the same mysterious man again.
Overall, this is a pretty good film and has a very dark Alice in Wonderland feel.
I rate this a 9/10
Howls ^^
