Twins of Evil

This is a 1971 Hammer Horror, starring Peter Cushing, Damian Thomas and twin sisters Mary and Madeleine Collinson. This is a third film about the Karnstein family but set earlier than the previous films. This one is during the 16th Century when the village Brotherhood is busy burning "witches" or innocent young women, while Count Karnstein is enjoying twisted rituals and picking girls for human sacrifice. He uses the blood of his victims to bring back one of his ancestors called Countess Mircalla from the dead. She returns as a vampire and changes him into one after biting him on the neck. Meanwhile twin sisters, Maria and Frieda have arrived to stay with their aunt and uncle. Their uncle is a member of the witch-hunting Brotherhood. There is a lot of twists and gorgeous gothic sets. I really miss Hammer movies making more films today. I give this a 9/10.
