The film Whatever Happened to Baby Jane is a 1962 thriller, based on the novel with the same name by Henry Farrell. The movie stars Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. It was directed by Robert Aldrich.
The story begins in the year 1917 when a child star with golden curls called "Baby Jane Hudson" sings on stage in front of an audience of adoring fans. Her shy sister called Blanche feels left out. A boy gives Baby Jane a doll in her likeness as a gift. When Baby Jane and Blanche grow up, things turn dark between the sisters. I'm certain that doll has something to do with it! I rate this film 8/10 because it's so well acted, beautiful and full of weirdness.
